Jessica Chastain blossomed on the red carpet during Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only” runway show.
On Saturday, the Oscar-winning actress arrived to the internationally traveling fashion show in Venice, Italy — which also coincided with the Venice Film Festival — with Mr. Armani’s niece, Roberta. During the event, Chastain’s footwear was largely hidden from view, though its base likely featured thin stiletto heels — given the shoes worn by other guests in attendance, as well as Chastain’s own penchant for the silhouette over the years.
The pair did feature smooth black leather uppers with pointed toes, however, bringing a sharp base to Chastain’s attire: a sparkly black top, tucked into matching draped pants. The glittering set created an elegant base for its final layer, as well: a draped black silk jacket, complete with pale gray silk lapels and faintly shiny red roses intricately embroidered near its ends.
Chastain simply completed her look with a low ponytail hairstyle and deep red lipstick, opting to arrive sans-jewelry — which brought her look a nonchalantly chic effect, while simultaneously leaning into Armani’s own penchant for minimalist, natural glamour.
Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only” Armani Privé fashion show was held in conjunction with the Venice Film Festival, featuring an afterparty with music by Mark Ronson. Guests in the star-studded front row included Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain, Kelsea Ballerini and Cami Mendes.
The Venice Film Festival will feature international movies and cinematic shorts debuting for the new season. The 80th annual event is also taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has current interim agreements to allow U.S. actors to appear at the occasion. Aside from numerous premieres — including “Maestro,” “Priscilla” and “Ferrari” — the week will conclude with its starry amFar Gala, featuring performances by Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
